Knight Center and ITVS announce One Take winner

The Knight Center for International Media and ITVS International have announced the winners of One Take, the first in a series of video contests as part of the 1H2O-Campaign 2009, launched on World Water Day to encourage discussion and awareness of water issues around the world.

Contestants answered in one take and in less than two minutes, “Is access to clean, safe water for drinking a basic human right? Why? Why not?”

L'acqua è un bene commune by Federica Ipsaro Passione won the fist prize of US$500 for her video monologue in Italian, with English subtitles.

The second prize of US$300 went to the Water Poem by Taylor Johnson.

The special prize for the video that was subtitled into the most number of languages went to Irene Wanke. The video was subtitled in 16 languages. This prize was also US$300.
